I'm really happy about my new role supporting the board secretary at the German UPA and about actively helping shape the association behind the scenes. In this role, I mainly focus on the website, visibility, and consistency of content.

What are my new responsibilities?
In my volunteer role, I support quality assurance for our website, work on its discoverability through SEO, and help maintain our tone of voice.
What drove me most was the wish to make our professional association more visible. Especially for people who are new to the UX world, it's often not that easy to find the right places to connect and learn. I want that access to be more approachable – partly because it's something I would have wished for myself at the start of my own path.
Fun fact: through QA work on our website, I keep learning more about the many formats, events, and training opportunities the German UPA offers. Honestly, I wasn't previously aware of how much actually happens there. That makes the work not just meaningful for me, but interesting every single time.
